On 9th December, 2016 at around 5PM GMT, Thunderclap will blast out a timed Twitter, Facebook and/or Tumblr post from all of our supporters, creating a wave of attention (we’re actually hoping for more of a tsunami) but, this will only happen if we reach our supporter goal and that, dear reader, is where you come in.
Three years ago today, Braver than Fiction first took to the stage as a brand new band (that makes this kind of our birthday). A lot has happened during those thirty-six months and it is with some degree of pride (if not amazement) that we find ourselves still together and continuing to make music – despite some pretty scary stuff happening in between.
Here we are then – presenting (possibly) the most un-Valentine’s Day blog post you could possibly imagine. No hearts, no cherubic Cupids, no sappy sentiments, no apologies; we are to Valentine’s Day what Scrooge is to Christmas.
It has been over a year since Braver than Fiction played their last gig and although the band have not been completely idle during that time, their rumoured return to the live circuit is eagerly anticipated. The questions that are being asked include: “Has the line-up changed?” and “Will there be new songs?”
Has it really been two years since this all started? Another Hallowe’en is upon us and it marks our second anniversary as a live band except that (and you may have picked up on this) we have not actually been performing for quite a few months. We had our reasons but this is all about to change now as we approach our third year of gigging with more than a little Hoodoo and charm.
Once upon a time, Braver than Fiction had an idea for a Jekyll and Hyde themed ‘Transformation’ T-shirt so our intrepid keyboard player (and secret fashionista) Jason took the plunge and had one made; there were a lot of “oohs” and “aahs” and the intention was to have armfuls of them produced but, for that time, it remained the only one…
Braver than Fiction have been using the ReverbNation platform since the band was put together in the summer of 2013 and, whilst we have found some of the free features extremely useful, we do not think that the Premium (paid) features are cost-efficient as far as our needs and expectations are concerned so, we have come to a decision…
